Not-So-Wordless Wednesday
So my baby Bruiser boy is 4 years old (around about) today! Four!
It doesn't seem that long ago sice I walked into the local pet store planning on getting a girl bunny for my Mum. I saw Bruiser's tiny little fuzzy face and immediately fell in love. The shop girl proclaimed him a girl and so I took him home.
My Mum took one look at him and went "That's not a girl!"
"Well you're not taking him back!" I replied. "He's mine now. His name is Bruiser."
And so I kept him.
This is the part where I'm supposed to show you itty bitty baby pictures of him. Only I don't have any. Or maybe pictures of him in a birthday hat. Only I don't have any of those either.
So you just get a regular picture of him being exceedingly cute (as he always is).
Hoppy Birthday my precious little boy! May you have many, many, many more.

One warm and sunny day
Sparky, Kota and I decided to go for a walk. A long, long walk. It was so hot and sunny and warm that Sparky keeled over and died.

Just kidding. He's fine.
In preparation for our Coastal Walk (which you can still sponsor us for BTW) I took the dogs along the coastal path to Crail. I had fun, they had fun. Pretty much all I saw of the dogs all day was this:

The dogs are still amused by the absurdity of signs.

Sparky's not amused by litterbugs.
Rubbish belongs in the BIN, people!

This little dog was near where we stopped for lunch. He had a little pink squeaky bone that Kota *wanted*. And so Kota took it. And so I'd put Kota in a down-stay and throw it back. And then Kota would run off and steal it again. Luckily the little dog's owners thought it was quite funny (as did I). Little Dog didn't and ended up patrolling around his table barking his head off at Sparky and Kota.
Get off my lawn!

I love this shot. I like the light, I like the way Sparky looks, I like the way the grass frames the shot. Don't like the grass itself, it makes me sneeze. *adds hayfever meds to list of things to take walking*

Now, at first glance, this picture doesn't look like very much.

But it is, in fact, proof of a recall away from one of these:

Why did you call me away? She looked quite tasty.

Uh huh. That would be *exactly* why I called you away Kota.
12 miles, one hell of a sunburn and a bus ride later we were back home and Kota looked like this:

I'm pretty sure he actually died for a little while. Seriously. I sat next to him and flicked his ear for about 5 minutes nad got no reaction.
Shh, sleepy puppy.

I think my dog may have a superiority complex
I have so many shots of him that just scream "Yeah, I know I'm gorgeous!"
Exhibit A:
Yeah, I know I'm gorgeous!

Exhibit B:
Yeah, I know I'm gorgeous!

Exhibit C:
Yeah, I know I'm gorgeous!

Then again, I also have plenty of shots that look a little like this:

WHEN DID MY SLEEK, LEAN PUPPY TURN INTO A BEACH BALL WITH LEGS?
Phew, that's better.

So I got a new 75-300mm lens for my camera, which means I can take pictures of the dogs when they're FAR away. I took Kota to the park with his frisbee to try it out. Poor Sparky had a poorly paw (he'd ripped some skin of one of the pads) and so had to stay home.
Doesn't Kota look like he's being held up by strings in this photo?
Um, could someone let me down please?

He's getting ever-so-slightly better at his frisbee catching.

But not much.

Could you catch a frisbee in your mouth whilst jumping 4ft in the air? Nope, didn't think so.

It's that time of year again.
The time of year that causes my dogs to collapse into furry, panty, drooly piles in the park.
What? It's hot!

Sparky, at least, has the brains to collapse in the shade. Kota doesn't because he has no brains.
They fell out through his ears. I saw it.

And so, to save my poor fur-babies from over heating, I went and threw them in the sea.
Whew, that's refreshing.

OK, I'll admit it. That was all just an excuse to post lots of shakey dog pictures. Not that I need an excuse, who doesn't love pictures that make your dog look like this?

That not rock your boat? How about this one?

I think this one is utterly brilliant, even if I do say so myself. Look at the curves of the water droplets as they come off Sparky! Amazing.

"Where are all the shakey dog pictures of Kota?" I hear you ask. Well Kota thinks shaking is a waste of energy that could be spent CHASING STICKS. And so he just stands there and drip dries.
Of course the one time he does shake off...
GET OUT OF THE SHOT SPARKY!

How Sparky would look with floppy ears.

He pulls funny faces when he's barking.

Very funny faces.

He also pulls silly faces when I ask him to balance things on his nose.
Um, why am I doing this again?

And exceedinly happy faces when asked to sit on a log and pose like a bunny.

Kota doesn't sit like a bunny on a log. Or sit on logs at all really.
It hurts my bum!
